Fitting that it would be Monkey Tuesday
For those of you not hip to my rad reference, Monkey Tuesday is a weekly theme for Penn Jillette’s radio program on Free Frequency Modulation. Why monkeys? Because if 100 monkeys are left alone in a room with 100 typewriters for 100 days, they will fall one vote short of passing one of the most un-American ideas imaginable. And not we’re not just talking law, here, ladies and gents. This time, they were looking to amend the U.S. Constitution. Let me explain. Things I’ve learned this week (6/18-6/25)
Here’s my first attempt at a regular theme for this blog (because if I don’t have a structure, this blog will get out of hand fast.) Don’t start a new project (like a blog) right before going on vacation. Any new project requires momentum, and nothing kills that like depriving yourself of access to tools. Getting no internet access for most of a week . . . withdrawl isn’t even the word. Stupidity, or generosity?
It’s a difficult call. I write this post while 1800 miles from home, sitting in a house with no internet access. Thank you , Mr. “linksys”, whose signal is just strong enough for me to surf the webverse. Luckily for “linksys,” I am not malicious by nature, since I have no doubt that his home network is as secure as his wireless router, which is to say not at all.
