Someone is wrong on the Internet. Episode 1
Someone is Wrong on the Internet. Episode 1 Our first episode! Today, we talk about the new(ish) movie Fright Night starring David Tennant. No, really. STARRING David Tennant. We also discuss the bizarre goings-on with the nascent Republican Presidential campaign. But our big topic of the episode is the first in a four-part discussion about NPR’s “100 Top Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books.”

It’s been about a month since my last entry. After taking 30 straight days to talk about games, I needed a break, and with the school year gearing up, I’ve had to shift my focus for a while. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking of you, dear reader! In fact, there are two things you should know about. First, I did the first of what will probably be many guest pieces for oldboardgamers.com, reviewing the Martin Wallace two player game, A Few Acres of Snow. You should go check it out. I’ll wait. Are you back? Excellent. The other
30 Games in 30 Days – Day 30
“What is your desert island game?” We made it! It’s the end of the month-long meme, and we have arrived at the final* question. 30 Games in 30 Days – Day 29
“What is the game that is your least favorite among those that you own and will keep?” Again, sorry with the lateness of today’s update. Dave’s floor is done, and I have been handsomely rewarded with sushi. Ow. My typing fingers hurt. Today’s question could be interpreted as a variation on Day 25′s, since the games I only keep around for the benefit of others by definition are one’s I don’t particularly like.
30 Games in 30 Days – Day 28
“Which current flavor of the week is most likely to still be hitting the table this time next year?” Sorry this one is so late and relatively short. I have been helping my friend Dave get a new hardwood floor down, and went straight to our rum-based dinner party from there. (I know, you’re so sympathetic.) By the very nature of “flavor of the week,” don’t we think we’ve found the next great thing? So predicting which of the current round of popular games will show the most staying power is difficult.
