“What game has your favorite theme?” See people, this is what I’m talking about. Left to my own devices, I come up with a stupid question like this one. Let me quickly make one more plea for visiting and commenting on the “Request” page (link in the sidebar). I am flying back to Chicago this morning, and have sort of, kind of, arbitrarily decided that landing at home and waking up the next morning will be my cut off for submissions. Folks, you guys are a lot more interesting than me, so help me out, would you?
30 Games in 30 Days – Day 14 :interruption
“What game do I have that you don’t?” Ok, this is just a short brag, with a little bit of back-story. Twelve years ago, when I was last in London, I was very excited to drag my wife along to a board game store out in the North West reaches of the city. I can’t remember the name of the store, nor the tube stop it was within walking distance of. I only remember that it took about 2 hours round-trip, and that they had Ra, which was not yet out in the US. Score!

Day two of our journey to London and Paris. After getting a long sleep under our belts, we were ready to tackle some serious tourism today. We tubed it out to Picadilly Circus from our Islington flat and then made a valiant attempt at taking an open-topped bus tour of London. Really, we did. It was a comedy of errors. After buying our tickets, we were told that the bus stop was “right across the street.” Uh-huh. So then we bailed on that and walked to Westminster Pier to get the Thames river tour. I’m in London! (Not a game post)
We have been in London for about 24 hours (if you count the hour-and-a-half that we spent going through customs, when technically they hadn’t let us in yet). This is a vacation, with some research on the side. I’m getting subsidized to be here by my school, so that I can produce a documentary on the London Blitz (and later the French Resistance – Paris in 4 days!).
