A disjointed ramble about the most disturbing movie I’ve seen in years This is a frightening moment. Has anyone seen the new Citgo commercial? This is a company that is essentially owned by Hugo Chavez. Ok, so you gotta like his stance on U.S. (read – Bush’s) foreign policy. But people, this is a bad man. He is milking the Venezuelan economy for everything he can. Only the oil exports allow him to maintain his cleptocracy and still appear to be helping the ever-increasing poor population of his country. Here’s the tagline that appears at the end of the commercial – “A steady, secure supply of Venezuelan oil.” Sure it is. Hugo will make sure of it.
